25 | On 09/26/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with Licensees Meena and Ravi Sharma, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for the One Year Required inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed 1 preschool child in care. Individuals that reside in the home include 5 adults (Licensee, Spouse, 2 adult daughter's, and 1 adult son), no minor children. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
Physical Plant: This is a two-story 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home with kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, office, and garage. Main care is provided in the living room and dining room. Children use the bathroom #1 on the left side of the hallway. Children have access to the main care areas, bathroom #1, and back yard. Off limit areas include all bedrooms, family room (barricaded by gate), upstairs areas to include bedrooms all bedrooms and remaining bathrooms (gate barricading the stairs), and front yard. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons. Cleaning supplies, medications and alcohol were inaccessible to children in care. Per Licensees, there are no guns, weapons, or firearms in the home.
Safe and age-appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed. LPA Tamayo tested the smoke and carbon monoxide detector observed it to be in operable condition. Fire extinguisher was found to be in operable condition and located near the kitchen. Electrical outlets were inaccessible. No recalled and or prohibited toys or play equipment were observed on the premises. There is a designated area for ill children as necessary.
Bathroom: Children use the restroom located on the right of the home. LPA observed toilet and faucet to be clean and operable. No hazardous materials or items were observed in bathroom #1. LPA reminded applicant the children's bathroom must be free of accessible shampoos, mouthwash, medication, perfumes, razor, air freshener, nail polish and polish remover.
