Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Loretta Pilafas today for the purpose of conducting an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. Center is also requesting to increase the capacity for the Infant Component from 8 to 16. LPA toured and measured the additional classroom for the capacity increase. There are 2 classrooms (Infant Room A & Infant Room B) and 1 Toddler classroom for a Total of 3 classrooms. This is a combination center with a licensed School-age (197403509) and Infant component (197403510).
The hours of operation are: 6:00 am to 6:30 Monday through Friday.

**LPA noted age appropriate furniture, equipment, toys and materials. Classrooms were observed to be clean, safe and free of any Health or Safety hazards. Telephone service was verified as well as adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. Children's belongings are kept in cubbies along the wall as you enter classrooms and labeled with each child's name. Bedding and linens are stored in individual plastic bags to ensure no bedding or linens encounter other bedding or linens from other children (also stored in cubbies labeled with each child's name). Drinking water is available inside the classroom in the form of water fountains.

**The children's bathrooms (located near the front entrance and another bathroom within the classroom) were toured and found to be clean and sanitary, with soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available. Toilets and sinks are functioning properly and age appropriate.

When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm - Director states there are no children present whom require IMS, but there is a plan in place.

Director requested a capacity decrease to 60 children with the assumption the PS was licensed for 96, however, LPA informed Director the PS is already at a capacity of 60, this request will be withdrawn.
