On 04/04/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brittanee Cleveland conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to investigate the above allegations. LPA arrived at the facility at 8:45am and was greeted by Thania Garcia, Director, who guided LPA on tour of facility. There were 12 children and 4 staff upon arrival.
During the investigation, LPA obtained roster, conducted interviews, and supporting documentation. LPA Cleveland was unable to conduct the pre-investigation contact with the reporting party, as they wished to remain anonymous.

This complaint is from an anonymous source, which states a staff member threatens and speaks inappropriately to child(ren) in care. The reporting party (RP) stated in the complaint, while in restroom that shares wall with the infant center, RP heard S2 say “shut up” to an infant and followed with “or I will strangle you.” RP stated hearing S3 in room defending infant and RP expressed concern for infants safety with S2. No infants were interviewed because they are non-verbal.

Based on the LPA’s observations, interviews, and record reviews, the complaint alleging staff speaking inappropriately and threatening children in care, the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.

The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
