32 | Beginning at 08:15 AM, LPA observed the following in the Infant A and Infant B classrooms, the furniture, toys, and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and were in good repair. In each classroom, there was a separate sleeping area with 8 cribs with mattresses fitted for the crib size, covered with a fitted bed sheet, and labeled with each child’s name. The children’s personal items are stored in drawers near their cribs and each drawer is labeled with the child’s name. Drinking water was readily available with the use of individual bottles or sippy cups and bottled water is provided for refills. In each classroom, there is a changing table next to a sink and they were inspected for safety and sanitation. LPA observed an airtight container used to dispose used diapers. LPA observed LIC9227 Individual Infant Sleeping Plan need to be updated and Sleeping Log for each infant in care.
In the Toddlers classroom, the furniture, toys, and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and were in good repair. There were cubbies used for each child to store their belongings including personal items, bed linens and blankets. Drinking water was readily available with the use of individual sippy cups and bottled water is provided for refills. There is a changing table next to a sink. Per the Director, there are no children potty training. LPA observed an airtight container used to dispose of used diapers. The restroom located in the classroom was inspected for safety and sanitation and there was available water, water temperature was appropriate, and toilet paper was provided.
The facility has a telephone service via a landline, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated for safety and comfort.
LPA observed a first aid kits located in each classroom and were inventoried for necessary supplies. LPA observed a device in each classroom, per FR it is a combination fire and carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed smoke detector via fire alarm. Disaster drill log was available, and the last disaster drill was conducted on 09/18/2024. Per FR, isolation area for sick children is in the office. Hazardous items including poisonous cleaning compounds were stored inaccessible to children. LPA observed cleaning solutions stored in high cabinets in restrooms and in the classrooms with a child safety latch.
LPA did observe the kitchen area/ food preparation area, per FR snacks and meals are provided. LPA observed current menus posted in the lobby and each classroom, and list of children with food allergies.
