25 | On 8/30/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with the School Readiness Coordinator (SRC), Joe Vega-Smith for the purpose of conducting an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. This Preschool Program is located on the Tamarisk Elementary School Campus. The hours of operation are 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Upon arrival, LPA observed two classrooms (#3, #5) with 2 lead Teachers and 5 assistant Teachers, along with 27 preschool children. Currently, Classroom #1, #2, #4, and #6 are not at use at this time. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed. There are are no day care children with IMS.
LPA toured and inspected the 2 classrooms. LPA inspected and observed furniture and equipment was observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. There is a moveable bin for solid waste kept in good repair. All rooms are clean and safe. Telephone service was verified. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. Children store personal items in labeled cubbies. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and materials. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of water dispensers and disposable cups.
The bathroom has 2 toilets and 1 sink. The toilets and sinks are functioning properly and are age appropriate. Each classroom has an additional sink. LPA observed soap, toilet paper, and paper towels were readily available. |
