On March 4, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the above facility for the purpose of conducting a Required Annual Random inspection. LPA met with facility representative who granted access. LPA and representative toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed eighteen (18) children in active play and four staff. The facility operates from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM Monday-Friday. All employees were criminally cleared and associated to the facility.
Physical Plant: LPA observed one large clean and safe classroom with, telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies for children's belongings are labeled inside the classroom. Furniture, books, equipment, toys, and materials were age appropriate. Drinking water is available inside the classroom in the form of water pitcher and disposable cups or label water bottles. There is no napping for the children. There is one First Aid Kit it was observed inside the classroom. There is an Emergency Survival Kit Bin kept sealed in the class in a duffle bag near the front entrance. Fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are tested operable by the fire department. Trash cans did not have lids.
Bathrooms: LPA inspected the children's bathroom. There are two toilet stalls properly functioning and two sinks outside the bathroom for handwashing they were functioning properly and age appropriate. LPA did not observe any hazards. There was soap, toilet paper, and paper towels readily available.

Staff restroom was separate and to the left of the children’s bathroom it was observed with functioning sink and toilet and storage supplies, there were no hazards.
Kitchen: There is a clean, fully equipped kitchen with the menus posted. LPA observed allergy list posted on the refrigerator. A full lunch is provided by the school cafeteria. The chemicals are kept separate from the food. Cleaning wipes are kept inside cabinet above the sink up high unlocked.
Outside: The outdoor play area is an area that is on the same grounds and is shared with the Adult ESL School classroom in a separate bungalow. The play area and equipment were inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and is age appropriate. LPA observed a large play structure with two slides securely anchored and rubber mat underneath the entire structure. There is shade provided with a canopy. There is a grass area for rest with tables and benches and concrete for active play. There is a standing sandbox and three standing garden boxes. The playground was observed to be free of debris. Drinking water is available in the form of a water pitcher and disposable cups that are brought out during playtime. Per representative, there are no bodies of water on the premises, LPA observed an empty water table. The trash cans have secure fitting lids.
Other: Children and staff files were reviewed. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid (expires 8/2025). Per representative, transportation is not provided. The medical policy was reviewed. Disaster Drills: Fire drill was conducted 1/30/2025, Earthquake drill last conducted 9/31/24, Lockdown drill last conducted 11/18/2024, and Evacuation drill last conducted 11/19/2024. The last fire inspection was conducted 1/15/2025. The Child/parent Roster is not complete there are three children missing the physician information, but was corrected during the inspection.

Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in a chair near the front desk until the parent can pick up the child. The staff to child ratios was observed to be compliant. The sign in/out sheets were paper and complete. Medications are stored in the kitchen cabinet locked. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered only with parent's written permission. The management staff administers medication and documents the dosage, date, and time onto a log. Medication is properly labeled and stored in its original container. Facility representative was reminded to access the Licensing website at www.ccld.ca.gov. to obtain information about the most recent regulatory changes and the Quarterly Updates. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for
drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5 years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP).
