32 | Assistant Director states facility is and has been maintained at a comfortable temperature
During LPA’s inspection on 03/08/2023 and 06/21/2023 the facility was maintained within the required temperature range. During today’s visit LPA observed the thermostats that control the temperature in the entire facility. The thermostats are located in the Penguin and Dragon Fly rooms both displayed a temperature of 71 degrees with an outside temperature of 73 degrees.
Staff interviewed made no disclosure that the facility temperature is not maintained within the required temperature range.
LPA conducted interviews with parents, parents made no disclosures that the facility temperature in the classroom is too cold.
When interviewing children, children were unable to verbally disclose if the temperature in the classroom was uncomfortable.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Exit interview was conducted with Jeri Tougas, Assistant Director, including, but not limited to Provider Rights, Appeal Procedures and Agencies Consultative Role.
