32 | Teachers provided proof of the required units for infant care and meet the qualifications requirements. LPA observed that the facility has a current updated infant sleeping log available for each infant to record 15-minute check. Date, infant’s name, initials of staff person conducting checks are on log form.
LPA reviewed staff records. The review of staff records was documented on the LIC 859. Proof of the Mandated Reporter training were in files. LPA advised director that Mandated Reporter training is updated every two years. Staff’s immunization records were included in the files. All staff have been given on the job training for sanitation, principles, housekeeping, and universal health precautions.
Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on May 20, 2025. Fire extinguishers on site were inspected on January 22, 2025. First aid supplies were observed and inspected.
Menus are posted and visible for children’s authorized representatives. Snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. Facility provides an AM and PM snack.
LPA has given a technical violation due to updating paperwork on children’s files. These are to be corrected by September 1, 2025.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for
drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. --- Page 3 |
