| All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
Facility does not have access to a kitchen. Per director, the facility does not provide food for children. Children bring food from home, enough for breakfast, snack, and lunch.
Children bring bottled water from home and facility also provides bottled water. Director stated that water faucets are not used for drinking or food preparation.
LPM and LPA referred director Rubina Ahmed to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information.
LPM and LPA observed a first aid kit in the classroom. The first aid kit had a thermometer and a tweezer. Director was advised that first aid kit will need to have the following items: bandages or roller bandages, adhesive tape, scissors. antiseptic solution and sterile first-aid dressings.
LPM and LPA observed the following postings on the parent board located on the wall near the door of the classroom: Facility License, LIC 613A (9/96), the PUB 393 (8/02), Child Care Center Notification of Parents' Rights Poster, LIC 610 Emergency Disaster Plan with the telephone number of the local health department, information on child passenger restraint systems, and a contingency plan for action during fires, floods and earthquakes. Menu was not observed on the parent board because children bring food from home. LPA observed disaster drill log posted on the parent board showing facility is conducting disaster drills monthly.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files to be complete.
Review of staff files show staff files to be complete with mandated reporter, immunization verification of Tdap, MMR, and flu, and health screening.
Review of facility file shows Director has CPR/First Aid completed on 11/11/2021 and will expire 11/23 and has Preventive Health Practices with nutrition and lead components.
During today’s inspection no deficiencies were found.
