| Today LPA Clayton and LPA Chandler observed:
· Parents have a designated pick up and drop area with signage
· The student play area in the grassy courtyard on the 1st floor of the Leavy 6 building
· Outdoor umbrellas in the courtyard for shade
· Multiple outdoor cameras
During today’s inspection, LPA Clayton and LPA Chandler toured each of the proposed classrooms (308, 310), and the proposed outdoor area of the Leavy 6 building for a Health and Safety inspection. The following corrections are required prior to approval:
· Safety gates in the kitchen
· Bathtubs barricaded and made inaccessible to children
· Gate outside of classroom 313 to make the emergency exit inaccessible to children
· Gate to make the elevator and maintenance closet area inaccessible to children
· Gate at the walk-up entrance to the childcare area making the childcare entrance inaccessible to college students
· Additional cameras in the outdoor area
· Potty chairs in the infant restrooms (1 potty chair for every 5 students)
· The classrooms have fans, windows and central heating
LPA Clayton advised that another inspection is to be conducted by the Licensing Department prior to care being provided at the Leavy 6 building. Associate Director Grizel and Director Ani agreed and acknowledged understanding.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health and Safety Codes, no Deficiencies or Technical Violations were cited.
An exit interview was conducted, the report was reviewed and provided to Director Grizel. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site Visit which must remain posted for 30 days.
