32 | Staff attempted to calm down an upset child. Staff speaks to the children in care and remind them that their parent or guardian will return to pick them up. Director stated that staff bring the children to the office if they are not behaving or listening.
LPA Risher reviewed the video recording of the incident in question. LPA did not observe staff hit C1. Staff stated they attempted to get the child to sit down while they were crying.
A full investigation was conducted which included observations and interviews. The information received did not reveal evidence that a child was yelled at or hit. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. Facility utilizes time-outs as a form of discipline. Based on interviews and observations, no evidence has shown that there were any personal rights or physical abuse violations.
Exit interview was conducted and report was provided to Lakuita Moore, Director/Owner. Appeal rights will be provided.
