32 | There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Cleaning supplies are stored in a locked cabinet in the employee's bathroom as well as the school age rest room upstairs.. LPA observed operable carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors during inspection. LPA observed fire extinguishers and first aid kits throughout the facility.
Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed age-appropriate play equipment in the outside play area. .There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. The outside play area is safe and in good condition.
LPA completed file reviews for children and staff. LPA observed more than one staff with current cpr and pediatric first aid certification. Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them. LPA reviewed disaster and fire drill logs which were current.
No deficiencies are cited today.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
