illness, parents are called to pick up their child in the main office.
Based on records review of the facility, information regarding the list of children that got infected with hand, foot, and mouth disease was sent to LA County Department of Public Health. LPA was provided with a copy of the letter from the LA County Department of Public Health dated October 17, 2023, and a health bulletin for Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) that was posted during the outbreak. Parents of the children that have symptoms of the illness were also notified via Sprout About application.
Per Director Ward, the facility has maintenance personnel that cleans and sanitize the classrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms after closing hours. Sinks, shelves, floors, and carpets are also clean. Toys used during the day are sprayed with disinfectants.
After observations and interviews with parties related to the allegation: Facility staff are not preventing the spread of illness, it was found that the allegation could not be collaborated, the allegation has been rendered Unsubstantiated. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that facility staff are not preventing the spread of illness. No deficiencies were cited as a result of this inspection.
An exit Interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read, Appeal Rights, and a Notice of Site Visit, was discussed and left with director Aimee Ward at the facility. Failure to maintain the posting of the Notice of Site visit will result in a $100 Civil Penalty. |
