13 | On 12/18/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Doris Whitmore initiated the complaint investigation and met with Debbie Kahwaji, Regional Site Director. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors, observing proper teacher/child ratios with a total of 19 children and 7 teachers. LPA Whitmore conducted an observation of the entire facility, including the classrooms and kitchen area. LPA interviewed the Staff and the children. The Department conducted a full investigation, which included staff interviews, interviews with relevant parties and other agencies, as well as a record review which included documentation related to the allegations of Staff does not ensure the classroom is being kept free of rodent feces and Licensee allows hazards to be accessible to daycare children. LPA did not observe, nor was information provided via interviews that rodent feces was observed in the classrooms, nor that the Licensee allows hazards to be accessible to daycare children. The only area that rodent traps were observed is in an area that is inaccessible to children in care. Therefore the allegations are deemed unsubstantiated, meaning, although the allegations may have happened or valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred. |
