25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilia Hernandez conducted an unannounced inspection to the above facility on 06/24/2024. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:40AM, identified self and met with Luis Sanchez, Princpal, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. There were 53 children and 18 staff upon arrival.
The purpose for the inspection is to follow up on a recent alteration to the facility's outdoor play yard. On 08/23/2023, LPA was notified that alterations will be made to the preschool play yard. The play yard will undergo an installation of a nature explorer, outdoor classroom layout utilizing the space already available to children.
The facility reported to the department that on 06/14/2024 that alterations were complete. Principal provided LPA with an updated LIC999 facility sketch to include the new layout of the outdoor play yard.
Outdoor playground equipment is in a safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPA observed, all areas around and under high climbing equipment and slides are cushioned with padding that will absorb falls. There is adequate shade in the play yard. LPA observed awnings above the play yard that provides shade. LPA advised that no children shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
