On 08/12/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA),Doris Whitmoreconducted an unannounced inspection LPA met with Dilshad Bana, Program Director and toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed proper care and supervision. All center staff were fingerprinted cleared and associated to the licensed facility. Hours are Monday- Friday there are two half day sessions 8:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. and 12:30p.m,. to 3:30p.m. The facility also have afterschool care until 6:00p.m. At the time of the inspection LPA observed a total of 12 children in Care and 2 Teachers. LPA observed the sign in and sign out sheets to verify the census.

A walk through of the classroom space was conducted, classroom space was found to be clean and free from any potential hazards. Furniture was found to be in good repair and age appropriate. There is adequate heating, lighting and ventilation. Drinking water is readily available in each classroom. LPA observed classroom space to have dramatic play, arts/crafts, reading, individual cubbies for storage and learning activities. There is a first aid kit in the school office and classroom. Napping equipment and bedding was inspected for good condition, appropriate storage and cleanliness. LPA observed mats available for each child and mats are being sanitized daily. Bedding is stored separately in children’s cubbies. Napping children are properly supervised within ratios.Isolation area for sick students is located in the director’s office on a mat. LPA observed adequate arrangements for isolation and care of ill children.

The bathroom and toileting areas were inspected, there are sufficient toilets and sinks to accommodate the campus capacity. Toilets flush properly, toilet and sinks are reachable by the children in care. Each restroom has adequate toilet paper and paper towels available. Bathrooms were found to be clean. There is adequate lighting/ventilation in the bathroom areas. Children bring their own snacks and lunch from home. Food preparation area was toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. Food and snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. . Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade, drinking water and fencing were inspected. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water.

LPA observed the following documentation posted on the Board before entering the facility Facility License, Child Passenger restraint system Poster, Notification of Parents Rights, Personnel Rights, Earthquake Preparedness, Emergency Disaster Form LPA discussed with the Director about conducting Fire Drills and Documenting the Drills. LPA shared with the Director a form to document the Fire Drills.
The Facility has one or more functioning fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.

LPA reviewed two staff files one staff First Aide expires 08/02/2024 both staff has the Mandated Reporter Training completion date 07/2022& 04/04/2021. A Total of 6 children's files all documents were in the files only two files were missing the physicians report. LPA discussed with the Director about the Blue Immunization Record. LPA discussed the importance of Immunization Record of Staff.

The facility does not provide IMS. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was made aware that it is their responsibility to know the regulations as well as anyone who assists in providing care. Licensee was advised on how to access quarterly reports, forms, and regulations for Child Care online at www.ccld.ca.gov. disabilities with an equal opportunity to participate in the child care center's programs and services

.New Immunization Requirement: Law enacted by SB 277, beginning January 1, 2016, personal beliefs exemptions will no longer be an option for the vaccines that are currently required for entry into child care or school in California. Personal beliefs exemptions already on file will remain valid until the child reaches the next immunization checkpoint.
