25 | On 06/25/2024 at 1:10 PM an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katrina Chicote and Peter Bishop. LPAs announced purpose of visit and initially met with A1, who allowed entry to facility. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 64 and per FR they have 64 enrolled. The program currently operates Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. LPAs were taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors by A2. Director/Licensee, Luis Morales, joined LPAs soon after tour was beginning. Required postings were observed. LIC 125 was provided.
The facility is made up of four classrooms: RM-1, RM-2, RM-3, and RM-5, LPAs observed additional room available for facility that is the Multi-Purpose Room for use for parent involved activities. Upon arrival to the facility, LPAs observed children napping in all classrooms. LPAs observed RM-5 to have 11 children with two staff, RM-3 to have 13 children with one staff, RM-2 to have twelve children with one staff, and RM-1 to have 13 children with one staff. LPAs observed total census 50 napping children with six staff.
Beginning at 1:30 PM, furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair in each classroom. LPAs observed surface of classrooms to be safe and clean, and child size tables and chairs available for children with rounded edges that are well maintained at time of inspection. LPAs observed learning stations for dramatic play, math, and science with a variety of age appropriate toys maintained free of loose and sharp parts and a library area available for quiet play. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for children's belongings. Cots were inspected. LPAs observed cots laid out not hindering walkways and entrances/exits. Per A2, linens and blankets are provided by families and taken home on Fridays for washing. A2 states that they have extra blankets available in the event any blankets/sheets are soiled. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPAs observed water jugs and pitchers available with paper cups and personal water bottles available for children in classrooms. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. LPAs observed two bathrooms available in hallways
