32 | Willow and Maple classrooms are currently being used for child care. Aspen classroom had no children in the space during the visit. Indoor furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose and/or pointed parts. The facility floors, bathroom and classrooms meet Title 22 Health and Safety regulations. LPA observed cots for sleeping and bedding will be taken home every Friday for parents to wash and bring back to the classroom. LPA also observed age appropriate toys and books in primary care area. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in good condition and is free of hazards.
LPA inspected and verified that there is a fire system connected throughout the facility. The facility does have a fire extinguisher which has an inspection date of October 31,2023 on the premises. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors. First Aid kit was observed. LPA Chavies advised director to have a classroom only first aid kit. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors and upon request. Lead testing has been done but was over the limit in February of 2023. In August 2023 lead was retested but is still out of compliance. Director, Glesteree Blades, stated the facility will re take the leading testing.
POSTING REQUIREMENTS: License and other relevant notices are visible for public view and correctly posted on the wall (Facility Sketch, PUB 394, LIC 9148, LIC 610A). Fire and disaster drills are being conducted as scheduled every six months. |
