25 | On 6/7/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Elsa Arango. LPA observed 3 children napping in care today with both Licensees. Days and hours of operation are 24 hours. Licensee was reminded that staff must remain awake when children are awake.
LPA toured the home inside and outside. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry area and detached garage. Garage is for storage only, no child care activities conducted in the garage.
The areas that are accessible to children: living room, bathroom, bedroom #1 and back yard. LPA observed age appropriate toys, learning materials and equipment indoors.
The areas that are off limits to children: bedrooms #2, kitchen, laundry area, garage and extended backyard area.
No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children. No bodies of water on premises.
There is a full charged fire extinguisher located in the kitchen. The facility has a working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector, inside the home. The facility has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (310) 675-0690..
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
Both Licensees Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 1/14/2022. Licensees pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 3/21//2024. A review of records indicates that Licensee have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles.
