25 | On 1/26/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Judy Morris, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were not any children present at the time of the inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6am to 6:30pm.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 1 1/2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the living room, play room/classroom, kitchen and the 1/2 bathroom areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The living room is used for daily activities and napping. The children eat in the kitchen or the dinette area next to the kitchen. The play room/classroom is used as an extra play area. The children use cots and playpens for napping. The isolation area is the playroom/classroom.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports there are 2 dogs in the home. Licensee stated the dogs are kept blocked off from the daycare children when they are present. When the children are outside then the dogs are in the house.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. LPA observed safety locks on the cabinets in the kitchen. Cleaning supplies are stored underneath the sink in the kitchen.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. Licensee stated that she uses a portable air conditioners, cooler and opens the windows during the warmer weather. The home has central heating.
