25 | On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sherell Braddock met with Licensee Loretta Martinez for an unannounced annual/random inspection. Licensee granted access to the home and allowed LPA to tour the home. People who reside in the home are the licensee who have fingerprint clearance and TB test. Licensee have required immunizations (TDAP AND MMR). Upon arrival LPA observed 5 children with assistant. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed.
This is a two story 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen/dining room, family room, formal dining/living room, laundry room, loft, and garage. There is no pool on the premises. Children have access to the kitchen/dining room, family room, formal dining/living room, laundry room, bathroom down the hall near the downstairs bedroom, and the backyard. LPA observed several age-appropriate toys, books, playhouses, and activities in the childcare area,, kitchen, and backyard. Backyard is completely fenced. Off-limit areas include the entire upstairs including all bedrooms, downstairs bedroom made inaccessible with key lock, laundry room and garage. The licensee has 5 small dogs that have all required vaccines and are accessible to the children. LPA observed several functioning cameras inside and outside of the home as well as security sensors on all doors.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds (kept in the garage), medicines (kept in off-limits area), and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Sharp knives are kept on top of the refrigerator inaccessible to children. The facility roster is complete and maintained current. Per assistant, fire/earthquake drills are kept current and completed every month .LPA observed Fire/Earthquake Drills log.
