25 | On 1/30/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA was met by Licensee, RENTERIA, ESTHER who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Sunday 24 hour care.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 3 day care children and 3 adults (licensee and assistant). Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. There are no bodies of water in the facility. On limit areas include the living room, child playroom, restroom located in the child playroom, dining room/kitchen, laundry room only when children access the restroom located across from the laundry room, backyard play area and front yard only when children entering the home. The off limit areas include all other rooms that are located in the hallway and the attached garage.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. The facility roster was observed, and current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. The required fire extinguisher (2A-10BC) were serviced 1/6/2025. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in operable condition and tested by licensee. Facility provides daily meals for the children. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, area in the living room will be used as the isolation area. Licensee reports she has no firearms or weapons in the home. Home does have a fireplace, fireplace is covered as there is a bookshelf in place to ensure it is inaccessible to children in care. Licensee needs to repair the latch in the kitchen where knives are kept. |
