25 | On 11/03/2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Suzette Ornelas and Ellorine Jankans conducted an announced capacity increase and an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPAs met by licensee who guided LPAs on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30a -6pm.
LPAs toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPAs observed 1 children and 2 adults. Current facility sketch reviewed and Licensee confirmed that the living room/dining room, children’s room, bathroom accessible from the children’s room den and outdoor play area are on limits and accessible to children in care. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of locked doors, baby gates and supervision. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children.
The First Aid kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. The facility roster was observed, and current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. The required fire extinguisher (2A 10BC) has been serviced within the last year. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in operable condition and tested by licensee. Facility provides daily meals for the children or parents have the option of providing packed lunch. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, living room will be used as the isolation area.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. Outdoor play area is fenced in. Home does not have a swimming pool. Fireplace located in the living room/dining room has been made inaccessible to children in care by a metal screen. |
