observe household medications. Per licensee, no medications are being provided to children in care. Licensee stated that she is enrolled in a food program, and she is providing meals and snacks to children in care.
The facility is a one-story house. The fireplace is in the living room of the facility and is covered with cardboard, an iron fence, and a bookshelf. The home has central heating and air conditioning units.
Licensee stated that she will pick up children at 12:45 P.M. At 12:42 P.M., the LPA went outside of the facility and stayed inside the car.
At about 1:05 P.M., the licensee came with two children and LPA was allowed access again to the facility.
Per licensee, the fire/earthquake drills were conducted on July 17, 2025, at 12:00 noon. However, the licensee fire drills were not recorded on the fire/earthquake drills log. Licensee was advised to document the fire/earthquake drills conducted.
LPA observed safe and age-appropriate toys, puzzles, crayons, books, learning materials, small table and chairs, and television. Licensee has 4 sleeping cots and are stored inside the garage. Licensee stated that the children no longer nap in the facility.
LPA observed the first aid kit box is placed on the top shelf of the cubbies.
Licensee is advised that baby bouncers, saucer chairs, or any recalled and or banned toys or sleep/ play equipment are prohibited on the premises. Licensee is advised to check for fixture, furniture and equipment that have been banned or recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Bathroom: Toilet, sink and faucet were clean and operable. LPA did not observe razors and/or sharp objects, shampoos, mouthwash, medications, perfumes, air freshener, nail polish and nail remover that will pose a health and safety risk to children in care. LPA observed a step stool inside the bathroom.
Licensee stated that when a child shows signs of illness, the child is separated from other children in |
