25 | On 07/11/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher and Devon Carus conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Triana Hendy, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 2 napping children present at the time of the inspection with 3 additional children arriving. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 7pm.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. The Licensee utilizes the living room, dining room and bathroom as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The living room is used for daily activities, eating for the older children and napping. The dining room is used for the younger children to eat and napping. LPAs observed cots, mats and playpens that are used for napping. The living room will be used as the isolation area.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee has 2 turtles that are stored in the laundry room.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. LPAs observed a safety gate at the entrance of the dining room and kitchen. Cleaning supplies are stored in the bathroom and the linen closet.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (3-A:40-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. The home has central air and heat.
Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and snacks.
