25 | On August 5, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with the licensee, Luz Ramos, and explained the purpose of the inspection. Present during the inspection were the licensee, the licensee’s adult child, and six enrolled children, all of whom were preschool-aged. The facility is licensed as a large family child care home and was operating within the licensed capacity and required staffing ratios.
The licensee owns the home, which is a single-level, three-bedroom, one-bathroom residence. The licensee resides in the home with her adult son. All adults residing in or working at the facility have obtained fingerprint clearance. The facility operates Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Day Care Areas: The living room, kitchen, dining room, nap room, and Bathroom, which is located in the backyard. Off-Limit Areas: The front yard, Bedroom 2, and Bedroom 3.
At approximately 12:40 p.m., LPA toured the day care areas of the home with the licensee. LPA observed the home to be equipped with a variety of toys and materials, all of which were observed to be in working condition. LPA observed an accessible first aid kit located in the entrance area of the home. LPA observed that cleaning supplies, poisons, and other hazardous solutions were not accessible to children. All cleaning supplies and solutions were stored in the off-limits garage area on high shelves.
The home was equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher located in the kitchen area and a carbon monoxide detector in the living room. LPA tested the detector located in the living room, which was observed to be in working condition.
