25 | On Monday, June 16, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with Licensee assistant Alma Perez who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Licensee VHERU, LORRAINE S. returned from the store and joined the visit.
People who reside in the home are both licensee’s who are live scanned and have TB skin test on. The large family childcare home operates Sunday through Saturday 23 hours a day. At the time of the visit there were 8 children present with 3 staff members.
This is a one-story family home. There is an activity area (located in the living room), classroom (located in the first bedroom on the left), kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry area, backyard, and attached garage but not accessible from inside the home. Licensee does provide napping, there are 10 cots, 7 mats, 1 crib, and 2 playpens readily available for use up to the facility’s capacity. The off-limits areas are the two bedrooms, second restroom, kitchen, and garage. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks and children may bring food from home and it is placed in a refrigerator, properly labeled.
There is not a body of water or premises
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored off limits bathrooms inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in cabinet and made inaccessible by a safety gate. Cleaning compounds are stored in the upper cabinet inaccessible to children. The First Aid kit is located in the hall way cabinet inaccessible to children. Per licensee, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. LPA did not see any weapons or firearms in the home. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. The Fire Extinguisher is green, fully charged, and meets the standards of the State Fire Marshal.
