25 | On 11/18/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo, conducted an unannounced annual/random inspection. LPA met with Licensee and Assistant, Evangelina Siguenza and Erica Flores (Licensee’s daughter) who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Licensee then left for school pick ups. Individuals who reside in the home are 3 adults (the licensee, licensee’s spouse, and their adult daughter)who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday, 23 hours per day. LPA reminded licensee and assistant that a staff member must always be awake while children are awake. At the time of the visit there were 3 preschool age children present, and 1 infant with assistant. Licensee then came into facility after pick ups during exit interview with an additional 4 school age children. There was a total of 8 day care children.
This is a two-story home with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, loft, dining room, family room, living room, laundry room, and garage. Children have access to the daycare room, bedroom #1 used primarily for infant sleep, the restroom next to bedroom #1, and the backyard. Off-limit areas of the home are the entire upstairs, kitchen, laundry room, family room and garage. Off-limits areas are made inaccessible by a retractable safety gate and safety knobs. LPA observed a retractable safety gate at the bottom of the stairs. There is no swimming pool/body of water on the premises.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in the laundry room inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in a kitchen pantry. Pantry has a key lock. Cleaning compounds are stored in the laundry room and garage inaccessible to children. LPA also observed cleaning supplies under kitchen sink with a safety latch.
The First Aid kit is located in the childcare room in a drawer with a safety latch making it inaccessible to children.
