32 | calendar year; however, the disclosing party could not recall when the preschool closed or if it closed due to a COVID positive or COVID exposure. Disclosure was also made that there was a child that was exposed to a household that tested positive for COVID and Director notified all parents and requested all children provide a negative COVID test to return to childcare. Based on the information obtained and interviews conducted, COVID-19 protocol was followed and incident was reported to the appropriate parties; therefore, the allegations of Reporting Requirements, are deemed unsubstantiated, meaning although the allegations may have happened or are valid, a preponderance of the evidence standard has not been met.
The following was thoroughly discussed:
Lead Teacher was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
