32 | Per interview with the Director, children are not forced to eat. The Director stated that children are encouraged to finish their food, and that following a previous citation for this issue, the facility made changes to its practices. If a child requests more food, they are provided more; if a child does not want to eat, they are encouraged but not required to finish their food. The Director denied allegations that staff speak inappropriately to children. The Director stated children are under visual supervision of a teacher at all times.
Per staff interviews, responses were inconsistent with the above-mentioned allegations.
Per interviews with children, the children stated they enjoy attending the center. Children interviewed did not express any concerns related to the allegations.
Attempts to interview parents were unsuccessful.
LPA conducted observations throughout the facility, including during playtime, naptime, and snack. LPA did not observe any child being forced to eat and did not observe staff speaking to children inappropriately. LPA observed children to be under visual supervision of staff during the visits.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative.
