25 | LPA Clayton and LPA Richmond arrived at the FCCH to conduct a Case Management inspection. Upon arrival, LPA Clayton and LPA Richmond heard crying coming from the licensees bedroom. LPA Clayton observed 2 children sleeping on the living room floor, and asked licensee about the crying sounds coming from the bedroom.
LPA Clayton observed the bedroom door closed. LPA Clayton instructed Licensee to bring the baby out of the room. Licensee came out with 13-month-old infant in her arms, but crying could still be heard coming from the room.
LPA Clayton asked licensee if there was another baby in her bedroom and she replied “yes”. LPA Clayton held baby #1 so that licensee could get baby #2 from her bedroom. Licensee then came out holding a 9-month-old infant.
LPA Clayton reminded licensee that the children are not to sleep in her room (off-limits) and that if children are sleeping in another room, the door is to remain open. Licensee was reminded that per her facility sketch, the on-limit areas for childcare are as follows: living room, kitchen, bathroom and family room.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, deficiencies are being cited: (see LIC 809D).
Exit interview conducted and report along with appeal rights was reviewed with the licensee Alex Tomlinson.
