25 | On 06/05/2024 at 9:00 AM an Unannounced Annual Required was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katrina Chicote and Peter Bishop. LPAs announced purpose of visit and initially met with Facility Representative (FR), Yadira Godlock, Assistant Director, who allowed entry to facility. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 58 and per FR they have 54 enrolled. The program currently operates Monday thru Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, per FR they do adjust schedule based on needs of parents but understand license limitations of not providing care for a child longer than 23 hours. LPAs were taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors. Required postings were observed upon entry to facility and posted inside classrooms. LIC 125 was provided at time of inspection.
The facility is made up of five classrooms: Main Activity Room, PreK-3T, PreK-3, PreK-2, and PreK-2 Nap Room. At the initial start of the site visit, LPAs observed four students with one staff for Pre-K3T using Main Activity Room, seven students with two staff in PreK-2, 10 students with one staff in PreK-3, 11 students with two staff in PreK-4. Additional children arrived after tour, per FR total census for the day was 37 children with eight staff.
Beginning at 9:10 AM, furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair in each classroom. LPAs observed surface of classrooms to be safe and clean, and child size tables and chairs available for children well maintained. LPAs observed learning stations for dramatic play, math, and science with toys well maintained free of loose and sharp parts and a library area available for quiet play. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for children's belongings. Cots were inspected. Per FR, sheets are provided by the facility and washed weekly and parents provided blankets that are taken home weekly for washing. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. Per FR, facility uses water coolers which is used to refill children's water bottles. LPAs observed water coolers available for children and children's personal water bottles inside classroom. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety
