32 | During the interview with the Licensee, Licensee denied having staff that spoke inappropriately to a child, staff do not ensure that a child's dietary needs are met, and staff handled child in a rough manner. Licensee stated that at no time have they observed staff speaking inappropriately to any child in care. Licensee stated that meals are provided daily to children. Meals are included in the tuition and are prepared daily at the facility. On Fridays, parents are given the option to purchase meals from various restaurants. For those families who opt out of the optional restaurant meals, children are served what is documented on the menu. At no time has the Licensee observed staff handling any child in care roughly. Per Licensee, there was a recent discussion had with Parent #1 who was not pleased with the classroom placement of Child #1. Parent #1 disclosed that Staff #1 was not of similar ethnicity as Child #1 and wanted Child #1 to be changed to a different classroom.
Staff interviewed made no disclosures to support the allegations above. Staff did verify that meals are provided to children and children are provided additional servings upon request.
Parents interviewed made no disclosures to support the allegations above. Parents provided no concerns regarding the allegations. Parents are happy with the care their children are receiving.
Children interviewed made no disclosures that support the allegations above. Child made disclosures about how much they enjoy being in the classroom with teachers and friends. Children also disclosed thst when additional serving are requested, staff provides them.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
A notice of site visit was given to the licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
