25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Roxana Lopez conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA met with Scarlett Ramirez Holguin, Principal who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool program which is operated by LAUSD. This program consists of 7 classrooms: RM 101, RM 102 RM 103, RM 104, RM 105, RM 106 and RM 107. Facility operation hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This facility has a capacity of 168 children; Total enrollment is 52.
Upon arrival, the following staff were present during this inspection: RM 101: Staff # 1-5 with 12 children, RM 102- vacant, RM 103- Closed, RM 104: Vacant, RM 105: Vacant, RM 106: Closed, RM 107: Vacant. LPA observed Staff # 6- 16 with 31 children outdoors. Teacher-child ratio is met. All individuals present have obtained a criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption. All staff have received an active criminal record clearance as a condition of their employment with the Los Angeles Unified School District. All children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times.
LPA observed the indoors of the facility to be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. Furniture and equipment were inspected for good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Indoor classrooms were inspected to ensure that the floors have a surface that is safe and clean. All toilets and hand washing stations are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. At this time, the lounge and or conference room is used as the primary isolation area and there is a restroom, chairs and a mat/cot can be placed if needed. Parents are contacted immediately when children are determined to be ill and staff are ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness are not being accepted. --- pg.1 of 4--
