32 | It is unclear who the Licensee is speaking to or if she is yelling at children in care. The licensee is speaking in Spanish and not using inappropriate or threatening language.
Licensee reports that when children are misbehaving, she talks to the children and if the problem persists, she talks to parents. Licensee states she does not punish or use time outs. LPA Castellanos asked the Licensee what she does if she is feeling overwhelmed by crying children, licensee stated that if she needs assistance her daughter is always there to help.
Based on the evidence obtained, LPA Lourdes Castellanos was unable to corroborate that the Licensee yells at children in care. Therefore, the allegation is determined Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
An exit interview was conducted with licensee Eva Sanchez. A copy of this report, appeal rights, and Notice of Site Visit were provided to the Licensee. |
