On 01/29/2026, LPA Clayton conducted an unannounced visit to the Blue Oak Creative Schoolhouse, to deliver the findings on a complaint. LPA Clayton was greeted by Licensee/Director Lisa Pertulla. LPA Clayton toured the facility for a Health and Safety inspection and observed 31 preschool children in care, being cared for and supervised by 5 fingerprint cleared staff.

On 11/19/2025, the El Segundo Child Care Regional Office (ESCCRO) received a complaint alleging:
• RATIO: Staff did not ensure they were not out of ratio

On 11/20/2025, LPA Clayton toured the CCC inside and outside for a Health and Safety Inspection, and obtained copies of the facility roster, Personnel roster and LPA Clayton observed 25 children being supervised by 6 fingerprint cleared staff.

LPA Clayton conducted a thorough investigation which included facility inspections, observations, and reviewed the staff schedules, and finds the Center to be operating in compliance with Title 22 regulations for Teacher – Child Ratios.

Based on LPA’s observations and record review the allegation of Ratio is UNSUBSTANTIATED, meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Lisa Pertulla. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site visit which is to remain posted for 30 days.
