25 | On 06/03/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced 3 year Required Inspection for the School Age Day Care Center. LPA Richmond met with Staff Lauren Godbold. LPA Richmond toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 0 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 0 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday – Friday, 2:00pm – 6:00pm and Tuesday 1:00pm – 6:00pm. CCC provides snacks, and water.
Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained.
There are no swimming pools, ponds, or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked cabinet area.
LPA Richmond observed 1(one) fully charged 2A10 BC fire extinguishers in the classroom. LPA observed a working carbon monoxide detector. Fire alarms are wired to the Pull Fire Alarm system. The Fire Alarm system was last inspected and tested in June 2025.
All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. LPA Richmond inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
LPA Richmond reviewed 12 children’s files. Files are complete with consent or medical treatment signed by parents/authorized representatives.
LPA Richmond reviewed 3 personnel files and observed files to be in compliance including immunizations for personnel in childcare, Mandated Reporter training, and CPR/First Aid. LPA Richmond reminded Director that both CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training are to be renewed every 2 years.
