Circumstances that involve teacher yelling or raising their voice includes gathering children from the outdoor play yard back inside or emergency situations when a louder voice is a last resort such as a child being in danger. Per Staff 1 (S1), Staff 3 (S3) will no longer be returning to teach at the center after the end of the 2024 school year.
According to Parent 2 (P2), Parent 5 (P5), Parent 7 (P7) they have no concerns regarding the care their children are receiving at the day care. Parents further stated that they like the teachers and have no concerns about their children being yelled at by any of the teachers in care.
According to Child 1 (C1), Child (C2), Child 3 (C3), Child 5 (C5) and Child 6 (C6), their teachers yell sometimes when they need to pay attention or need them to concentrate. Children further stated that their teachers do not yell and say mean things to them.
Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
