25 | On 2/23/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a 3 Year Required Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Gioconda Porras, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 2 children present with 2 staff. The operating hours are 7 days a week 23 hours.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Entertainment Room, 4 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the entertainment room and the 1/2 bathroom as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The children eat, nap and do daily activities in the entertainment room. LPA observed cots and cribs that are used for napping. The isolation area is in the living room.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there is 1 dog and 3 cats in the home.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Cleaning supplies are stored in the laundry room and underneath the sink in the kitchen. LPA observed safety locks on the cabinets in the kitchen. Medications are stored in the upper cabinet in the kitchen with a safety lock attached to the cabinet.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids.
