25 | On 06/08/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced 3 year Required Inspection for the School Age Day Care Center. LPA Richmond met with Director Christalyn Baskerville. LPA Richmond toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 36 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 5 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – Friday, 3:15pm – 6:00pm and Wednesday 1:45pm – 6:00pm. CCC provides snacks, and water.
Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained.
There are no swimming pools, ponds, or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked cabinet area.
LPA Richmond observed 1(one) fully charged 4A60 BC fire extinguishers in the auditorium. LPA observed a working carbon monoxide detector. Fire alarms are wired to the Pull Fire Alarm system. The Fire Alarm system was last inspected and tested in July 2025.
All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. LPA Richmond inspected the auditorium and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards.
LPA Richmond reviewed 12 children’s files. Files are complete with personal rights and parent rights.
LPA Richmond reviewed 6 personnel files and observed files to be in compliance including immunizations for personnel in childcare, Mandated Reporter training, and CPR/First Aid. LPA Richmond reminded Director that both CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter training are to be renewed every 2 years.
