On 09/15/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a complaint subsequent visit regarding the above mentioned allegation to deliver the findings. LPA Risher provided the purpose of the visit and observed 12 children in care with 2 staff. LPA Risher met with Brittny Zachry, Assistant. LPA spoke with Licensee on the phone.

On 07/27/2022, ESCCRO received a complaint regarding staff use inappropriate form of discipline. Information was reported that an assistant was observed using inappropriate discipline with a daycare child.

On 08/02/2022, LPA Risher conducted an interview with the Licensee over the phone. LPA requested a copy of the facility roster from licensee. Licensee stated that staff redirect the children when needed. Staff talk to the children about listening.

On 09/15/2022, LPA Risher conducted a subsequent visit to interview staff and children in care. Staff stated that they talk to the children about their behavior. Children will sit down for 3-4 mins until they calm down.

A full investigation was conducted which included observations and interviews. The information received did not reveal evidence that a child was inappropriately disciplined. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are found to be unsubstantiated. Facility utilizes redirecting and speaks to the children about their behavior. Based on interviews and observations, no evidence has shown that there was a personal rights violation.

Exit interview was conducted and report was provided to Brittny Zachry, Assistant. Appeal rights will be provided.
