32 | Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. Children napping equipment met the requirement regulation at time of inspection. Storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities, and isolation areas were inspected. Age-appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, safety, and sanitation. LPA observed cubbies with wooden toys, puzzles, books, and other appropriate toys to be clean and free of hazards at time of inspection. LPA observed carpets and age-appropriate tables and chairs in each classroom. LPA observed purple box for first aid kept in common area near entrance.
Facility provides am and pm snack, menus were reviewed at time of inspection. Children bring their own lunch and all items are stored in their personal cubbies in their personal lunch boxes. Food and snack items are properly stored. Food preparation area was toured and found in compliance for safety, cleanliness, and proper storage. Drinking water is provided via bottle water service dispenser and personal use water bottles. Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are present in the facility. LPA tested detectors at time of inspection and were determined to be in operable condition. Fire extinguishers were observed as serviced on 1/9/2025. Last fire drill was conducted on 2/5/2025.
LPA observed outdoor play area which consists of 3 play areas. Class room 3 Dali room has their own playground equipped with a Big Toys play structure age appropriate for 2-5 year olds, play house, garden, tables for activities, bubble station, book case and tricycles. Classroom 1 Rivera and Classroom 2 Kahlo have a play area equipped with a play structure, water table, tables and chairs. There is a shared play space that is off limits when not in use by a locked gate. The shared play space is a garden with a digging area, mud kitchen and logs for balance play. Outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair, and age-appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected. LPA advised Director that the children need to be always within the direct care and visual supervision by the teachers. Per Director, the children have access to drinking water via personal water bottles. Water bottles observed available to children during inspection. Play area was inspected for hazards and inaccessibility to bodies of water; no bodies of water or hazards observed at time of inspection.
LPA reviewed with facility representative the LIC 311A, Records to Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
