25 | On 06/13/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher and Devon Carus conducted an Annual Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Traci LaVelle, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property at 1:15 PM with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 6 children present including 0 infants at the time of inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Sunday, 24 hours per day.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes bedroom 4 and bathroom 3 as the day-care. There is also a porch that acts as a play yard. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. Bedroom 4 is used for daily activities, napping and eating. LPAs observed mats and playpens being used for napping. The hallway outside of Bedroom 4 is used as the isolation area. A safety gate was observed at the entrance of Bedroom 4.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there is one dog in the home. The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/bathroom drawers were made inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning supplies are stored underneath the sink in the kitchen. LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Special diets for kids with allergies must be provided by child's guardians. There are currently no children with allergies, or special diets enrolled.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes tweezers, thermometer, and band aids. Licensee CPR card expires 3/22/2026. Central air and heat was observed on the premises. Fire place was properly secured. |
