On 10/12/2022, LPA Sabrina Martinez conducted interviews with facility staff and conducted a tour of the facility. Facility staff disclosed that facility uses redirection and communicates with children who are exhibiting challenging behaviors. Facility staff also disclosed that quiet time is provided from 12:30 until 2:30 PM and that children are not forced to sleep and are encouraged to read books or do other quiet activities when not napping. LPA observed drinking water readily available both inside the classroom and outside in the yard. The children have their own sippy cups and water pitchers are accessible indoors and outdoors. The facility also has a functional and accessible drinking fountain in the yard. LPA did not observe any cleaning supplies/Clorox wipes accessible to the children. LPA observed cleaning supplies stored in a cabinet and inaccessible to the children in care. LPA also observed the A/C to be operable and in good working condition.

Based on evidence and information received during the investigation which included interviews, records and observations, the allegations have been found to be unsubstantiated. Unsubstantiated meaning that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred.

Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report, appeal rights, and Notice of Site Visit were provided to Licensee Anna Shirokova.
