25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Keyona Scott, conducted an unannounced 3 - Year Required Annual inspection to the Child Care Center on 01/31/2025. LPA met with Licensee, Natasha Madison, and Assistant Director (A1) at 12:37 PM. LPA was guided on a tour inside and outside of the preschool facility by Assistant Director (A1). LPA observed proper teacher to children ratios. At 12:47 PM, LPA observed the preschoolers in their perspective classrooms napping or resting. LPA observed the following: fourteen (14) children to two (2) teachers in Classroom B used by the 3, 4 and 5 year olds; fifteen (15) children to two (2) teachers in Classroom C used by the 2 to 3 year olds; Classroom A was not utilized for the day due to not all children were in attendance. All Adults present, working and or volunteering at the Center have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
This is a preschool program that serves children ages two (2) years old until entry into first grade. There is also an active infant center (facility# 197419619) located on the premises. Operation hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
PHYSICAL PLANT
All areas identified on the Facility Sketch were inspected. The preschool program consists of three classrooms. LPA observed the following in each of the three classrooms: cubbies with each child's name, outlet covers over the electrical outlets that were not in use, table and chair sets, books, blocks, and other age-appropriate playthings. LPA also observed napping cots in each classroom.
The facility was kept clean, neat and orderly. LPA observed two restrooms utilized by the children in care. LPA observed four (4) toilets and two (2) sinks in the restroom located adjacent to Classroom A. LPA also observed one (1) additional sink outside of the restroom adjacent to Classroom A. LPA observed one (1) toilet, one (1) sink and one (1) changing station in the restroom located in Classroom C. LPA also observed one (1) additional changing station in Classroom C. LPA observed toilets and sinks to be safe, sanitary and functioning. PAGE 1 |
