LPA observed safe and age-appropriate toys, small slides, table, chairs, diaper changing table, and other toys in the facility. LPA also observed a highchair. LPA observed two sleeping cots. Per licensee, licensee has additional sleeping cots stored inside the tool shed.
Licensee has first aid kit box on the kitchen countertop. LPA observed electrical outlets are covered with child safety covers.
Bathroom: Toilet, sink, and faucet were clean and operable. LPA did not observed razors and/or sharp objects, shampoos, mouthwash, medications, perfumes, air freshener, nail polish and nail remover that will pose a health and safety risk to children in care. LPA observed a trash bin and a step stool.
Licensee stated that when a child shows signs of illness, the child stays in the family room until the parent arrives.
Outdoor: Licensee stated that licensee wanted the use the backyard for outdoor play. LPA observed a climber, small bench, rideable toy cars, and a slide in the backyard. LPA also observed small metal fences with arch and stakes surrounding the two plants. Licensee stated that there is no body of water on the premises. During this inspection, LPA did not observe body of water in the backyard and side yards.
Licensee stated that she does not have any pets at home. LPA did not observed pets at the facility.
At the time of inspection, Licensee is aware of the requirement to report unusual incidents and/or injuries to the parent/guardian and Licensing on the day of the incident and/or 24 hours of incident by telephone, fax and/or in writing to the Department. Licensee is familiar with the Unusual Incident Report form, LIC624B. The report on unusual incident/injuries can also be emailed to unusualIncidentreport@dss.ca.gov
Review of records to be maintained: LPA reviewed with licensee the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Homes, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. LPA reviewed one child’s files and the licensee’s file.
Based on records review, the child’s file is complete. Licensee has current mandated reporter training and CPR/First Aid trainings completed. Licensee has immunizations against Pertussis and Measles. Licensee has TB skin test on file.
Based on the Facility Roster, licensee has five children enrolled in day care. Based on records review, the fire/earthquake drills were conducted last August 13, 2026, at 12:15 P.M.
Licensee and one other adu have received criminal record clearance. Based on the Guardian roster, there is one adult (A2) associated to the facility but is not eligible for fingerprint clearance. Per licensee, A2 does not live in the home. During this visit, LPA did not observe A2 in the home. LPA requested the licensee to put a |
