32 | Individual Infant Sleeping Plan is completed and in file for each infant up to 12 months of age. Infants up to 12 months of age are placed on their backs for sleeping.
At 1:15 PM LPA observed 3 baby bouncers in the infant classroom. LPA informed the Director that baby walkers and items that fall into that category such as baby bouncers, rockers, and jumpers, are not allowed in child care centers. LPA informed the Director baby swings are allowed but once the infant falls asleep, they must be removed from the swing immediately and placed in their crib.
All handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
Availability of indoor drinking water was observed in the classroom.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible to infants. Director has poisons that are stored in the main building inaccessible to infants in care. Carbon monoxide was not observed. Disaster drill log was available, last drill was conducted on 05/18/2026.
All food preparation areas and food storage areas are kept clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin. At 1:20 pm LPA did not observe a thermometer in the refrigerator, LPA informed the Director there must be a thermometer in the refrigerator and the temperature must be 45 degrees. All storage containers for solid waste, including movable bins, shall have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids or solid waste bags shall be discarded immediately after each meal.
Per Director, meals are provided by parents. Parents also provide additional meals and snacks to ensure infants have enough food to meet infants individual feeding plan.
All floors were observed to be clean and safe. All materials accessible to infants were observed to be toxic-free. Per Director, there are no firearms stored on the premises.
Outdoor playground equipment is in a safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All areas around or under climbing equipment, slides, and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard.
