On 5/31/2022 at 2:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley conducted a unannounced case management inspection and met with Director Gabriela Garcia. LPA observed 9 infants in the infant room with two teachers, Staff #1 and Staff #2. The director states she is working with the two staff to remain within ratio. LPA observed the facility to be operating over capacity. The facility is licensed for 8 infants maximum. See LIC 809D.

The licensee/director will submit a plan of correction to the Department by 6/1/22. Director will inform the Department which children will be terminated to reduce the capacity.

This requirement was not met as evidenced by: LPA observed the facility over capacity with 9 infants in the infant room. The licensee failed to operate within the maximum capacity of 8 children/infants. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
