25 | On 02/21/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton made an unannounced visit to the Jarrin & Lopez de Jarrin Family Child Care Home to conduct the Required 3-year Inspection. LPA was greeted by Licensee Maria Lopez de Jarrin. LPA Clayton observed 3 infants and 3 toddlers in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by licensee and fingerprint cleared assistant and daughter. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, am/pm snacks and water.
LPA Clayton toured the home inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
The facility sketch was reviewed, and LPA confirmed that the single-family home consists of living room/dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, family room, fenced driveway, fenced backyard and a detached garage.
The ON LIMIT AREAS are as follows: living room/dining room (main daycare area/classroom), kitchen, bathroom #1, bedroom #1 (infant napping area), and fenced driveway.
The OFF-LIMIT AREAS are as follows: bathroom #2, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom #3, family room, fenced back yard and detached garage, all of which are inaccessible to children in care by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
LPA Clayton observed a fully charged 2A:10B:C Fire Extinguisher, a working carbon monoxide detector in the main daycare area, working smoke detector and a working carbon monoxide detector in the infant napping room, and a working smoke detector in the hallway (outside of the infant napping room).
