Disinfectants and medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were accessible to children. At , 9:06 am LPA observed a cleaning solution left on the table in the children’s playground, LPA informed the Director to ensure all clean solutions are inaccessible to children in care. Carbon monoxide detector was observed in the classroom and is operable.
All food preparation areas and food storage areas are kept clean and are free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and/or any other vermin. At 9:30 am LPA observed Febreze next to the children’s snacks in room 1, LPA informed the Director no cleaning solutions, sprays, are allowed to be stored with any food. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Trash cans used to discard food have tight fitting lids or solid waste bags shall be discarded immediately after each meal. Food is not provided by the facility. The parents provide sacked lunch and snacks, the parents also have the option to order food from the food vendor called Healthy Choice, Healthy Choice delivers lunches daily. First Aid supplies were observed. Per Director, medication is not administered at the facility.
Outdoor playground equipment is in a safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained is not in a safe condition and is free of hazards, at 9:15 am LPA observed under the table and by the back gate of the playground stale food on the ground. LPA informed the Director to have staff clean the playground before children go outside. All areas around or under high climbing equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. There is adequate shade in the play yard. LPA advised that no children shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, LPA reminded the Director when children come into the facility and go to their classroom to ensure that a staff has visual supervision of the child.
All floors were observed to be clean and safe. All materials accessible to children were observed to be toxic-free. There are no firearms stored on the premises. There are no pools or bodies of water at the facility.
